Koolstofnegatieve koffie

In 2012 plantte Luis Anibal 5.000 Gesha-bomen.

Zoe ★★★★★

Brewed a V60 this morning and the washed extended fermentation gives it this clean, almost tea-like body that lingers way longer than most coffees I've tried from Huila. The Gesha cultivar really shines at that 1,500-1,600 masl altitude. Easily the most interesting bag I've opened this season.

The extended fermentation really shines through in the cup—it’s bright and floral, with that classic gesha elegance that’s hard to find. I brewed it as a pour-over and the clarity was stunning, especially at that altitude. Definitely a special batch worth grabbing.

The extended fermentation really comes through in the cup—it's got that clean, layered complexity I usually only find in much pricier lots. The washed process keeps it bright without losing any of the Gesha florals.
