De regio Guji in het zuiden van Ethiopië is de thuisbasis van het dorp Buku, waar deze koffie wordt geproduceerd en verwerkt. Historisch bewoond door het Oromo-volk, kent Guji weelderige, ongerepte landschappen en een rijke culturele erfenis. De Oromo leven hier al eeuwen en zijn overgestapt van veeteelt naar voornamelijk landbouw. Dankzij de vruchtbare grond met dichte bossen is er nauwelijks behoefte aan bemesting en toevoegingen, waardoor biologische werkwijzen hier de standaard zijn. Deze regio is een voorbeeld van duurzame landbouw en cultureel behoud.

Deze partij is mogelijk onze favoriete koffie van 2024 tot nu toe: groot, sappig en heerlijk, met tonnen tropisch fruit, bessen en steenvruchten. De perfecte koffie om de zomer mee te beginnen.
