Migoti Coffee is a specialty coffee producer located on Migoti Mountain in Burundi, about 30 kilometers from Bujumbura. Founded in 2015 by engineers Dan Brose and Pontien Ntunzwenimana, the company aims to connect Burundian coffee farmers with international buyers through quality coffee processing and transparent supply chains

The company operates two washing stations between 1700 and 1900 meters above sea level, serving a community of over 50,000 people. These stations produce high-quality Arabica coffee, mainly from the Red Bourbon cultivar, known for its excellent flavor profile

Migoti Coffee employs both permanent and seasonal workers, many of whom are women. They provide local farmers with education on coffee tree maintenance to improve yield and quality, revitalising an industry devastated by the civil war from 1993 to 2003

Beyond coffee production, Migoti Coffee is involved in community development projects, including building a small hydropower plant to provide renewable energy and exploring new agricultural ventures like essential oil crops to diversify farmers' income

Charlotte ★★★★★

Took a chance on this washed Burundi after reading about the red bourbon at 1,900 meters, and the wet fermentation really delivers a clean, bright cup that’s hard to put down. Brewed it as a pour-over this morning and the whole kitchen smelled fantastic. Already planning my next order.

Grace ★★★★★

The red bourbon cultivar at this altitude—1,700 to 1,900 meters—comes through as a bright, clean cup with a silky mouthfeel. I brewed it as a pour-over and the wet fermentation really shows in how crisp the finish is; it's easily my favorite bag this season.

Benjamin ★★★★★

The washed wet fermentation really lets the Red Bourbon’s sweetness shine through, and at 1,700–1,900 meters you can taste that bright, clean acidity. I brewed a pour-over this morning and it was gone before I even sat down. That’s the sign of a coffee worth reordering.
