Introducing this year's new lot from our longstanding direct trade producer Nancy Hernández, featuring the Parainema varietal. This variety was specifically developed for its disease resistance and high yield, yet it has also exceptional cup quality, earning it multiple Cup of Excellence awards.

This particular lot offers a delicate floral profile, with notes of tropical fruit and creamy cashew. These flavours are balanced by a pleasant brown sugar sweetness.

The Jazmin farm was built in 2008 by Nancy. It was always her dream to follow in the footsteps of her parents and grandparents to have a farm. She spent years learning about processing and cultivation on her parents farm until her uncle offered her the opportunity to transform what was some disused land into a coffee farm, that was the birth of Jazmin.

The altitude really shows here—1600 masl gives it that clean, bright finish you only get from high-grown lots. I brewed it as a pour-over and the washed process keeps everything crisp, no muddiness at all. This April harvest batch is hitting different.

Even though I’m no coffee expert, this washed Parainema from Finca Jazmín brews so clean and sweet that I’ve already gone through half the bag in a week. The altitude really shows—it’s bright but smooth, perfect for my morning pour-over. Definitely a steal for the price.
