Victorio’s farm, Jerusalén, is nestled in the municipality of Guajiquiro, about three hours from Marcala, where our direct trade partner Nancy Hernandez exports all our Honduran microlots. The area is extremely remote and inaccessible by car; the processed coffee is actually transported on horseback. For 50 years and across three generations, Victorio’s family has been dedicated to producing high quality coffee, preserving ancient varieties, and using organic practices to maintain their land.

This is our fourth year purchasing this anaerobic natural Typica lot from Don Victorio, every year we see the quality improve. This coffee boasts an extremely sweet and fruity profile, with notes of Pineapple, Peach and Plum whilst still maintaining a very clean cup profile.

The anaerobic natural process really brings out the mango and strawberry notes—the cup is vibrant and juicy without being overpowering. Even at 1700 masl, it stays smooth and balanced. I've already ordered another bag.
