Kagumoini se encuentra a 3 km de la localidad de Karatina, en la provincia Central de Kenia. Esta planta de procesamiento da servicio a cinco aldeas cercanas y cuenta con cerca de 1.100 miembros. Su principal fuente de agua es el río Ruiru y se utilizan cuatro despulpadoras para el procesamiento de la cereza. La planta está gestionada por un encargado que reporta a la Cooperativa de Agricultores de Mugaga (FCS). Tres representantes de Kagumoini forman parte de este comité de gestión. Entre las funciones de la planta está garantizar el bienestar de sus agricultores asociados, y actualmente existen programas que ayudan a proporcionar anticipos para tasas escolares, insumos agrícolas y formación por parte del personal del Ministerio de Agricultura.

Este año, hemos adquirido tres lotes diferentes de cafés keniatas, todos ellos AA, la máxima calidad en Kenia. Este lote se diferencia bastante del perfil de sabor clásico keniota, con abundantes notas de nectarina y melocotón, además de un toque de cereza roja.
